GATINEAU, Quebec, January 13, 2014 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of sidewalk closures and restricted access to the National War Memorial Monument from Monday, January 13, 2014, until July 2014.
The sidewalk closures and restricted access to the monument are necessary to conduct general repairs that will address issues with the concrete slab and the corrosion of the reinforcing steel in the crawl space located below the monument.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution when travelling in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
