Community benefits from safe sustainable drinking water
February 20, 2014 – Carcross, Yukon
The community of Carcross is celebrating improvements to its water treatment plant thanks to an investment by the governments of Canada and Yukon.
The facility improvements included creating a new water truck bay and a dedicated area where the public can fill personal water containers. Combined with new water treatment equipment, the facility is now expected to be able to provide clean drinking water for the community for the next 20 years.
