Thanks to Government of Canada funding
Friday, February 7, 2014 – Halifax, Nova Scotia
The new Halifax Convention Centre will be ready to host visitors from around the world in 2016 thanks in part to funding from the federal government. With two years remaining until the Centre opens its doors, the Government of Canada is encouraged that a number of national and international organizations are already planning to bring their business to town.
This new multi-level 306,500 square foot convention centre will be a state-of-the-art, environmentally sound facility, which will include a column free ballroom overlooking the City, multi-purpose rooms and meeting spaces.
It will serve as an economic catalyst for Nova Scotia and promote the region as a premier destination, with 120,000 square feet of rentable space and a one-million square-foot mixed-use development area that will include a hotel, financial tower and retail space.
