Prime Minister Stephen Harper today participated in a question and answer (Q&A) session at the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Québec. The Q&A session was moderated by éric Lavoie, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Québec. The Prime Minister was also joined by Alain Kirouac, President and CEO of the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Québec, and Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec.
During the Q&A session, the Prime Minister discussed the Canadian economy, the upcoming 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017, and the important milestones leading up to it. He also discussed other measures that our Government is taking to create jobs and growth in the region, including by providing skills training, improving the immigration system, reducing red tape, and increasing access to new markets.
