The Station Arts Centre Cooperative is receiving a total of $27,000 from the Government of Canada for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons of the Station Arts Concert Series and the Coffee House Series.
The Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Wanuskewin, Maurice Vellacott, made the announcement today on behalf of Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover.
The Station Arts Concert Series presents a variety of performances in the 160-seat theatre between the months of October and April. The only one of its kind in the Saskatchewan valley, this venue offers the audience a unique experience and the opportunity to meet the artists after the show.
The Coffee House Series takes place in the more intimate, casual setting of the café space and is designed to appeal to younger audiences. This Friday-night series provides young adults with access to quality entertainment in their community and emerging artists with the opportunity to hone their skills.
