Torngats Services Techniques Inc. receives support from Government of Canada

February 12, 2014 – Québec, Quebec – Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the firm Torngats Services Techniques Inc. has been granted financial assistance to increase its innovation capabilities.

This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $100,000 repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development’s Quebec Economic Development Program.

Torngats Services Techniques Inc. offers specialized services in the field of materials inspection, mainly through non-destructive examination (NDE) and welding inspection, to ensure the quality and safety of a variety of infrastructure, including pressure equipment in refineries, grinders for the mining sector, and aircraft parts.
This project, which is part of the company’s growth strategy, is expected to result in the creation of two jobs.
The initiative will include commercialization activities on markets outside Quebec, the development of new processes and the acquisition of specialized equipment.
