The Government of Canada is providing a total of $9,700 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund to the Burrows Trail Arts Council for the next two years of its performance series.
Robert Sopuck, Member of Parliament (Dauphin–Swan River–Marquette), made the announcement today on behalf of Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover.
The Burrows Trail Arts Council offers professional performing arts series from October to April. Each season presents an average of eight shows in surrounding rural communities in a variety of genres including folk, popular and world music, theatre, and interdisciplinary acts. In addition, the Council offers outreach and audience development activities including post-show meet and greets and question and answer sessions.
