On March 15, 2014, Lorne Rodway, an inmate at Pacific Institution, died at a local hospital in New Westminster.
At the time of his death, Mr.Rodway, 62 years old, had been serving a 12-year sentence since June 23, 2011 for three counts of Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, three counts of Disguise with Intent, and Robbery using a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm.
The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
