Today the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification announced $170,000 in support to Economic Development Winnipeg to attract international investment to Winnipeg through the YES! Winnipeg initiative.
WD’s funding is expected to generate $125 million in business attraction leads from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2015 which could result in $25 million in Foreign Direct Investment in Winnipeg.
Economic Development Winnipeg is a non-profit economic development organization. It launched YES! Winnipeg in partnership with the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce to increase business activity and economic spin-offs by attracting Foreign Direct Investment to the city.
