The Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) early analysis of traffic volumes at the new Cornwall port of entry suggests that the ability to open two additional primary inspection lanes is having a positive effect on traffic flow.
Since the new facility opened on the Canal Lands in Cornwall on January 24, 2014, the CBSA has met its service delivery standards 100% of the time and has not reported any border wait times over 10 minutes.

- This new port of entry has five primary inspection lanes, two more than the former Brookdale Avenue facility.
- The existing CBSA facilities on Brookdale Avenue will be dismantled and components used elsewhere where needed. Other property used by the CBSA, including city roads, will be repaired and restored as required and returned to the control of original owners.
