GATINEAU, Quebec, March 24, 2014 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists that preparatory work for the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge Rehabilitation Project will begin and this will require the following lane closures:
- Tuesday, March 25, 2014, between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.—closure of two lanes in each direction;
- Wednesday, March 26, 2014, between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.—closure of two lanes in each direction;
- Thursday, March 27, 2014, between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.—closure of two lanes in either direction;
- Friday, March 28, 2014, at 11:00 p.m. until Monday, March 31, 2014, at 5:00 a.m.—closure of one lane in each direction.
The sidewalk adjacent to the Gatineau-bound lanes is currently closed. Pedestrians and cyclists must travel via the sidewalk adjacent to the Ottawa-bound lanes during this period.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
PWGSC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
