Roxanne James, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, today highlighted six new additions to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) “Wanted by the CBSA” list, as well as one arrest and one removal.
Wei Can Xie, who was previously on the list, was arrested in January 2014 in Markham, Ontario by the Toronto Immigration Task Force (ITF). Xie was removed from Canada on March 2, 2014; he was inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for being convicted of production of a controlled substance.
Alfredo Reynoso, who was also on the list, was arrested by the ITF in Toronto on March 5, 2014. Reynoso is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for being convicted of possession of property obtained by crime and has also been convicted of being unlawfully in a dwelling house.
Since the “Wanted by the CBSA” program was established in 2011, the response has been tremendous and the CBSA encourages the public to frequently visit the program’s web page for updates on new cases, apprehensions and removals.

- The “Wanted by the CBSA” program has proven to be a useful tool for assisting border services officers in locating individuals who are wanted for removal. To date, as a result of this program, Canadians have assisted the CBSA in locating:
- 55 individuals in Canada, of which the CBSA has removed 43 from the country, and
- 14 individuals abroad.
- The Toronto ITF is a joint forces operation comprising personnel from the CBSA and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who work together to apprehend high-risk migrant fugitives.
- Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA website. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Toll-free Line at 1-888-502-9060.
