Prime Minister Stephen Harper today presented the Public Service of Canada's Outstanding Achievement Award to Renée Jolicoeur, Associate Deputy Minister of Public Works and Government Services. The ceremony at Rideau Hall, hosted by His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, honoured Ms. Jolicoeur for her leadership, vision and commitment to innovation.
Throughout her career, Ms. Jolicoeur has maintained an unwavering commitment to modern, client-focused government services. Her accomplishments include transforming the Government's outdated pension administration into a seamless and centralized electronic system, and modernizing the compensation function by creating a fully automated and consolidated compensation service centre. In addition, in her role in support of the Receiver General of Canada, Ms. Jolicoeur ensured that financial data collected from more than 130 federal organizations for the annual production of the Public Accounts of Canada was accurate, automated and sustained.
