The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today that CBSA officers seized approximately 73 kg of marijuana at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie, Ontario.
On March 20, 2014, a commercial vehicle arrived at the Peace Bridge with goods declared as okra. During a secondary examination, the truck was found to contain 61 packages of vacuum-sealed marijuana.
The driver was arrested and both the driver and drugs were turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Anyone with information about suspicious cross-border activity should contact the CBSA Border Watch Toll-free Line at 1-88-502-9060.
