On April 27, 2014, Katherine Anne Johnson, an inmate at Fraser Valley Institution, died at the institutional hospital in Abbotsford.
At the time of her death, Ms. Johnson, 66 years old, had been serving a life sentence for second degree murder since October 31, 2007.
The inmate's next of kin have been notified of her death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
