Today, the Honourable John Duncan, Minister of State and Chief Government Whip, and Member of Parliament for Vancouver Island North, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced $255,000 in support for infrastructure projects in both Langford and Colwood, British Columbia, under the Harper Government’s Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund (CIIF).
An investment of $232,500 has doubled the seating capacity of the Westhills Stadium in Langford, adding new grandstand seating and ground leveling that will enhance the experience for spectators and athletes.
In the City of Colwood, an investment of $22,500 has allowed for upgrades to two foot bridges in Colwood Creek Park, including the replacement of a compromised structure, the replacement of a sagging conduit, painting and other minor structural repairs.
