This program brings together end users and industry partners to create software-based analytic solutions that enable intelligence agencies to make sense out of big data quickly and efficiently. More specifically, this program helps national security agencies and public safety organizations increase their analysis capacity by locating relevant information more quickly and precisely, conducting evidence-based analysis and providing learning that allows their analysts to be more productive.
Learning and Performance Support Systems technologies provide reduced-cost training, knowledge and learning management. Working with industrial partners and learning technology providers, the program leverages existing expertise in e-learning and analytics to address skills shortages through personalized training and enhanced access to learning resources. The goal is to support learning, development, recruitment and retention efforts of Canadian enterprises. These new technologies also prepare students, individuals with missing skill sets, and even prospective new Canadians, with the learning they need to enter the workforce.
Printable Electronics works in close collaboration with the Canadian industry to create low-cost electronic solutions that are thin, light, flexible, and printed on plastic or paper. The program develops new inks and printing processes, and produces electronic circuits to be integrated into everyday objects. This will lead to a revolution in the manufacturing of interactive consumer products and security documents such as e-passports and secure bank notes.
