The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, today announced the appointment of Lindsay Gordon to the board of directors of Export Development Canada (EDC). The appointment is for three years.
Mr. Gordon, of Vancouver, British Columbia, is an experienced financial services executive. He served 25 years with HSBC Bank of Canada, including as president and chief executive officer from 2003 to 2013 and chief operating officer from 1999 to 2003. He first joined HSBC Bank of Canada in 1987, after serving a decade with EDC.
Working with other government partners and under Canada’s Global Markets Action Plan, EDC encourages trade by supporting Canadian businesses expanding into new markets and identifying opportunities that play to Canada’s strengths.
