Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced that His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will travel to Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle in the United States (U.S.) from April 28 to May 2, 2014.
During his first visit to the U.S. West Coast, the Governor General will meet with government representatives, business leaders, researchers and innovators with a view to strengthening bilateral relations, including commercial, educational and philanthropic ties.
Canada and the U.S. enjoy a unique bilateral relationship, forged by shared geography, similar values, common interests, deep connections and powerful, multi-layered economic ties.
