OTTAWA-Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will welcome His Excellency Ollanta Humala Tasso, President of the Republic of Peru, and his wife, Mrs. Nadine Heredia, First Lady of Peru, to Canada, on the occasion of their State visit, from April 9 to 11, 2014.
"Sharon and I are looking forward to welcoming President Humala and Mrs. Heredia to Rideau Hall,” said the Governor General. “We hope to reciprocate the great hospitality they showed us during our State visit to Peru in December 2012. This will be an opportunity for us to explore the many ways of ensuring the ties between Canada and Peru continue to strengthen well into the future."
The detailed schedule of the events taking place at Rideau Hall will be issued at a later date.
