The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced charges against three individuals and three companies for the unauthorized employment of foreign nationals.
On April 8, 2014, following a three-month investigation, members of the CBSA’s Criminal Investigation Division charged three individuals and three Ontario corporations with four counts of unauthorized employment of foreign nationals, contrary to section 124(1)(c) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). It is alleged that the accused employed a number of foreign nationals who were not authorized to work in Canada.
The accused are:
Kumar Gautam, 31 of Brampton
Nancy Gautam, 29 of Brampton
Shane Burrows, 29 of Etobicoke
Logan Moving & Storage Inc.
Shane’s Moving & Storage Inc.
2370080 Ontario Inc. operating as EBS Transport
The accused are scheduled to appear at Old City Hall court on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 11 a.m.
