PETAWAWA, ON – Media are invited to the funeral service for Lieutenant-Colonel Dan Bobbitt, Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Chapel at Garrison Petawawa.
Lieutenant-Colonel Bobbitt was the commanding officer of the 2nd Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery based in Petawawa. He died Wednesday May 21, 2014 after a Light Armoured Vehicle III (LAV III) rolled over during Exercise Maple Resolve at Wainwright Garrison, about 200 kilometres southeast of Edmonton. At the request of family, the funeral service will be closed to media, but media may record the event outside the Chapel.
When: Wednesday May 28, 2014, 1:00 p.m.
