On May 21, Curtis Carneal Roberson, 56, of Georgia, pled guilty in Winnipeg Provincial Court to making false statements under the Customs Act. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail.
On May 6, 2014, Canada Border Services Agency officers examined a commercial vehicle being operated by Roberson and located an undeclared revolver inside his luggage. The gun had been disassembled; however, the cylinder was loaded. Officers seized the firearm. Roberson was arrested and turned over to CBSA Criminal Investigations.
