The Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, today met with Veterans' stakeholder groups in Whitehorse, Yukon. The Minister hosted a roundtable at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 254 in an effort to learn about the issues of importance to Veterans in northern communities, and to share information on services and supports that are available to Veterans and their families.
While in Whitehorse, Minister Fantino also met with Yukon Premier, Darrell Pasloski, David Laxton, Speaker of the House for the Yukon Legislative Assembly, and Senator Daniel Lang. He also visited the Canadian Forces Joint Task Force North, Detachment Yukon.
Earlier this week, the Minister reached out to Canada's Veteran community in Vancouver and Victoria, where he reiterated his commitment to improving services for Veterans and their families.
