The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, today announced the appointment of Mr. Guy Martin to the board of directors of The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) for a term of three years.
Mr. Martin has over 40 years of experience in the transportation and roads sector, including 17 years as Director of Planning and Development at the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL). As a director at RTL, he oversaw the modernization of the network's infrastructure, including the renewal of the network's bus fleet, new bus engineering and the expansion and renovation of garages and operation centres. Mr. Martin also managed major metropolitan projects for the RTL in which he participated in the redesign of the Highway 132-134 interchange in Longueuil and assisted in the development and implementation of the RTL network's management systems through its first geomatic data treatment system.
Mr. Martin's vast experience also includes planning and developing road transport studies, environmental impact studies of highway projects, traffic planning, business planning for a small commuter network, and more recently the planning of an operation centre in the Chateauguay region for Veolia.
