"CASHRA 2014 - Accommodation Works! - Toward a more Inclusive Society," Canada’s leading human rights conference, is taking place in Ottawa, June 11-12.
This national conference will offer compelling content and thought-provoking discussion on key human rights issues, as well as latest developments in international, federal and provincial human rights law.
Canadian athlete and human rights champion Mark Tewksbury will give the keynote address on June 11. The conference will also include workshops and panels focusing on topics such as family status and caregiving, gender identity and gender expression, workplace mental health, the duty to accommodate, and new practices in dealing with human rights complaints.

- CASHRA is the national association of Canada’s statutory agencies charged with administering federal, provincial and territorial human rights legislation. Its goals are to foster collaboration among its members and to serve as a national voice on human rights issues of common concern.
- The conference is an annual event that dates back to 1972, the year that CASHRA was founded.
