Celebrating Scottish Heritage in Kincardine

Government of Canada supports the Kincardine Scottish Festival

June 13, 2014 – Kincardine, Ontario – Department of Canadian Heritage

Member of Parliament Ben Lobb (Huron–Bruce), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced $10,300 in funding for the Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games.

The Government of Canada is providing this funding through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to support the 15^th edition of this festival, which features Scottish music and dance performances, heritage displays, workshops, and activities for children.

Quick Facts

The Festival, which features the works of local artists and Scottish artisans, will take place this year from July 4 to 6.
More than 200 Highland dancers and 30 pipe bands are expected to perform at this year’s event.
