Thanks to support from the federal and provincial governments, Stade Moncton Stadium now has a new natural grass field for all throwing events, just in time for the 2014 Canadian Track and Field Championships, taking place from June 27 to June 29, 2014. The City of Moncton has also been chosen as one of six Canadian cities to host the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Women’s U-20 in 2014 and the Women’s World Cup Canada in 2015.
