Third firearm seized in 10 days at Alberta border
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Criminal Investigations Unit has laid three charges under the Customs Act and the Criminal Code following a firearm seizure at the Coutts port of entry.
On June 16, 2014, CBSA officers examined a truck and trailer and seized an undeclared .45 caliber handgun and two loaded magazines concealed in the travel trailer.
The CBSA arrested Charles Buddle, 65, of Happy Jack, Arizona. He was released on bail and his next appearance in Lethbridge Provincial Court is on August 5, 2014.

- The CBSA advises travellers that they are required to declare all goods they are bringing into Canada, including any firearms and weapons in their possession.
- Failure to declare goods, including firearms, and other Customs Act contraventions may lead to prosecution in a court of law.
