June 25, 2014 – Salmon River, NB – Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)
The Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for New Brunswick and Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), and the Honourable David Alward, Premier of New Brunswick, today joined federal and provincial government representatives and Fundy Trail Authority officials to announce a joint contribution of
$22.8 million to support the completion of the Fundy Trail Parkway.
Participants in today’s announcement included Rodney Weston, Member of Parliament for Saint John; the Honourable Trevor Holder, Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture; the Honourable Bruce Northrup, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General; and Harley Tingley, President, Fundy Trail Development Authority Inc.
The project will provide funding to complete the remaining 14 kilometre section of the Fundy Trail Parkway, from Parking Lot 11 to a proposed east entry kiosk in the McCumber Brook area.
