Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, June 13, 2014 – Representatives of the media are invited to two news conferences during which the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development, Minister for La Francophonie and Member of Parliament for Mégantic–L’Érable, will, on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, make two announcements concerning the Lac-Mégantic region.
For the first announcement, Minister Paradis will be joined by the Mayor of Lac-Mégantic, Ms. Colette Roy Laroche.
For the second announcement, the Minister will be joined by Mr. François Blais, Quebec Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity, and for the announcement regarding the Société d’aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) de la région de Mégantic, Mr. Jean-Guy Cloutier, Chairman of the Board of the Directors of the SADC, and Ms. Ginette Isabel, SADC Director General, will be present.
