Eye-catching exhibit shares the story of the National War Memorial
July 28, 2014 – Gatineau, Quebec – Department of Canadian Heritage
Canadian Heritage has unveiled the 2014 Plaza Bridge Photo Exhibit. This year’s exhibit commemorates the 75th Anniversary of The Response, the National War Memorial.
Eighteen large scale images—chosen to represent the development, construction, and significance of the National War Memorial—will be showcased in the heart of the nation’s capital until mid-October.
Situated on the Plaza Bridge in Confederation Square, one of the Capital’s busiest pedestrian corridors, this outdoor photo exhibition will offer thousands of visitors a unique portrait of Canada’s formal place of commemoration and remembrance.
“Through this exhibit, Canadians and visitors are invited to discover the story of our National War Memorial and learn how this gathering place, where people can remember those who have served and sacrificed for our nation, has transformed the heart of Canada’s capital.”
