Member of Parliament Nina Grewal announces support for Canada Day activities in Surrey
July 1, 2014 – Surrey, British Columbia – Department of Canadian Heritage
Thanks to funding of $30,000 from the Celebrate Canada program, the City of Surrey will host Canada Day celebrations at the Bill Reid Amphitheatre.
This year’s activities include musical entertainment by Canadian artists, a children’s play area, family activities for all ages, and a fireworks display.
This funding was announced today by Nina Grewal, Member of Parliament (Fleetwood–Port Kells), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
