Canada is imposing economic sanctions and travel bans on 14 individuals who bear responsibility for the crisis:
- Viktor Yuriiovych Anosov, member of a large armed insurgent group stationed in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, under the command of Igor Girkin (also known as Igor Strelkov).
- Viacheslav Anatoliiovych Apraksimov, member of a large armed insurgent group stationed in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, under the command of Igor Girkin (also known as Igor Strelkov).
- Fedir Dmytrovych Berezin, commander of the armed faction located in Donetsk region.
- Ruslan Yunirovish Ilkaev, member of a large armed insurgent group stationed in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, under the command of Igor Girkin (also known as Igor Strelkov).
- Valery Vladimirovich Kaurov, self-described “president of the Republic of Novorossiya” who has called on the Putin regime to deploy troops to Ukraine.
- Oleksandr Sergiyovych Khodakovskyi, commander of the separatist militia Vostok Battalion.
- Mykola Ivanovych Kozitsyn, general of the Cossacks Forces Army.
- Oleksii Borysovych Mozgovyi, leader of an armed resistance group.
- Valerii Kostiantynovych Musiienko, member of a large armed insurgent group stationed in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, under the command of Igor Girkin (also known as Igor Strelkov).
- Viacheslav Mykolaiovych Petrov, commander of the Russian Kuban Cossack Army “Donbas Kosh.”
- Ihor Venedyktovych Plotnytsky, leader of the “Russian United Army of the South-East.”
- Yurii Oleksandrovych Protsenko, member of a large armed insurgent group stationed in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, under the command of Igor Girkin (also known as Igor Strelkov).
- Oleh Anatoliiovych Vasin, member of a large armed insurgent group stationed in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, under the command of Igor Girkin (also known as Igor Strelkov).
- Serhii Anatoliyovych Zdriliuk, senior aide to Igor Girkin (also known as Igor Strelkov).
