Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, announced the appointment of Ms. Kimberley Henney as Governor representing Yukon on the Council of Governors of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
For the past 14 years, Ms. Henney has worked in several roles in a health and safety capacity under the Government of Yukon. She has provided leadership in corporate health, safety and disability programs and policies through the Public Service Commission and has held multiple positions with the Yukon Worker’s Compensation Health and Safety Board. Currently, she manages the operations and health and safety component for the Department of Education within the Yukon government.
Ms. Henney received a diploma in Disability Case Management from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia and currently holds a Disability Management Professional designation. She also completed a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Physical Education and Biology and received her teaching certification through Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
