Minister Goodyear Visits Tri-D Technologies and Meets with Businesses in Toronto

Minister Goodyear and Bernard Trottier, Member of Parliament for Etobicoke-Lakeshore, paid a visit to the offices of Tri-D Technologies today. They observed a demonstration of the company's Exact Flat software, and congratulated the company on the $500,000 loan it has been awarded by the Eastern Ontario Community Futures Development Corporation Network Inc. (EOCFDC Network) through the Southern Ontario Fund for Investment in Innovation (SOFII).
Tri-D Technologies is receiving the $500,000-repayable loan that will allow it to scale up its current operations, including the launch of a comprehensive sales and marketing campaign, product enhancements and the integration of additional 3D computer-aided design (CAD) capabilities.
Following the visit, the Minister and MP Trottier spoke to the South Etobicoke Industrial Employers Association, to outline federal funding opportunities available to help support the region's businesses. The Minister highlighted FedDev Ontario's focus on helping companies become more innovative, productive and competitive. Following this, Agency representatives outlined FedDev Ontario programming during an information session attended by local businesses.
