July 17, 2014 – Sydney, Nova Scotia – Transport Canada
The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, announced an investment of $1,335,243 for the rehabilitation of the taxiways at the J.A. McCurdy Sydney Airport.
This project will ensure continued safe operation for passengers, employees, medical evacuations, and fire fighting operations at the airport.
Funding comes from Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).
