Jeff Watson, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport today announced an investment of $10,308,741 over two years for the overlay of Runway 13-31, Taxiways A & B and the apron, and the relocation of visual aids at the Prince Rupert Airport.
This work will ensure continued safe operation of the airport for passengers, employees, medical evacuations, and fire fighting operations.
Funding is provided through Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).
