The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, took the occasion of the announcement of the Tour de l’Abitibi Desjardins 2014 official teams to underscore that the promoter of this cycling event―Le Tour cycliste de l’Abitibi Inc.―received funding to promote the event on European markets, particularly in France.
Awarded in 2012, this financial assistance was granted in the form of a $153,650 non-repayable contribution through Canada Economic Development’s Quebec Economic Development Program.
