Annapolis Royal Wharf Now Accessible year-round

Amidst the bustle of a Saturday morning farmers market, the sound of pipers and a traditional “cry” from Annapolis Royal’s town crier, the Annapolis Royal Wharf Association and members of the community celebrated the Grand Re-opening of its upgraded wharf just in time for a beautiful seaside summer.
In 2013, the Government of Canada, through ACOA’s Innovative Communities Fund, contributed $38,587 to support the installation of a floating dock, gangway and guest moorings.
Previously, visiting boaters could only access the town during high tide. These improvements will allow visiting boaters to enjoy historic Annapolis Royal whenever they wish, generating economic benefits to businesses and attractions in the area.
Tourists are not the only ones who will benefit from these enhancements, as the local fire department will now be able to launch its rescue zodiac from the wharf.
