The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) advises travellers that starting Monday, July 28, lanes will be reduced at the Cornwall port of entry while work is done to move the secondary examination canopy.
Over a four-day period, the Cornwall port of entry will experience periodic reductions in the number of traveller lanes open between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and on Wednesday, July 30, traffic will be reduced to one lane from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning.
The port of entry will remain open at all times; however, travellers may experience delays or increased wait times.
Travellers should take this information into consideration when planning their border crossing, especially during the morning and afternoon peak periods – 7 to 9 am and 3 to 6 pm, and are advised to check border wait times on Twitter (@CBSA_CWL) or visit the CBSA Web site at http://www.cbsa.gc.ca.
The CBSA is working to have the canopy installed as quickly as possible to minimize delays and apologizes for any inconvenience.
