Today’s announcement of $1.1 million to support World Vision Canada is contributing to the provision of emergency water, sanitation and hygiene for approximately 25,000 people in Afghanistan. With Canada’s support, World Vision Canada is also training 45 community groups, 42 school teachers and more than 2,700 students on hygiene promotion and awareness of health, water and sanitation practices. Canada is also contributing to the construction and rehabilitation of safe water infrastructure and latrines, to benefit more than 4,500 households.
