Media are invited to attend the Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC) Change of Command Ceremony which will mark the passing of command from Lieutenant-General Stuart Beare to Lieutenant-General Jonathan Vance. The Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., M.P. for Niagara Falls, and Minister of National Defence, as well as the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Tom Lawson, will be in attendance.,
When: Tuesday, 9 September 2014, at 1:30 p.m.
Where: Cartier Drill Hall, 2 Queen Elizabeth Drive
What: General Tom Lawson, the Chief of the Defence Staff, will appoint Lieutenant-General Jonathan Vance as the new Commander of the Canadian Joint Operations Command.
