Government of Canada announces support for local festivals and concert series
September 3, 2014 – Whitehorse – Department of Canadian Heritage
Ryan Leef, Member of Parliament (Yukon), along with Yukon Senator Daniel Lang, today announced support for eight Yukon-based projects through the Celebrate Canada program and the Canada Arts Presentation Fund. This announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
Funding will support a range of activities including local celebrations for National Aboriginal Day, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day and Canada Day, as well as for local concert series and festivals.
