“Our Government is committed to investing in initiatives that help promote and strengthen ocean technology in Atlantic Canada, which in turn fuels economic growth. OCEANS’14 will showcase the ocean technology cluster in Newfoundland and Labrador and promote it as a global leader in the ocean technology industry.”
The Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador and Minister of State (ACOA)
“Bordered by three oceans and boasting the longest coastline in the world, Canada is undeniably a maritime country. Despite often harsh environments, marine transportation, fisheries, and oil and gas are among the mainstays of our economy. In that light, Canada epitomizes the theme of this year’s OCEANS’14 conference -- Oceans: Where Challenge Becomes Opportunity.”
