September 19, 2014, Québec, Quebec – The National Battlefields Commission
The Plains of Abraham, especially Joan of Arc Garden, is gearing up for a 15th straight year of fall hauntings. Young and old are invited once again to come out for shivers of fear—and fun! From October 1 to November 2, the National Battlefields Commission will be putting on a series of original free and ticketed Halloween activities.
Summary
- Halloween decorations in the garden: Mysterious backdrops and tombstones evoke the Plains of Abraham’s shadowy past. A new tableau—Drunkenness and Sobriety—introduces more legends. Secret tales of military discipline at the Martello towers, battlefield surgery, public hangings, the origins of Halloween, and the black mass on the Plains will be revealed to those hardy souls willing to brave the darkness with only a lantern for protection.
