OTTAWA — The Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., M.P. for Niagara Falls and Minister of National Defence, issued the following statement:
“Recent media reports incorrectly reported that the Voltigeurs would not be calling the Manège Militaire des Voltigeurs de Québec (MMVQ) home.
Our Government has been clear: We made a commitment to rebuild this historic institution, and we will honour that commitment so that the Voltigeurs will be able to call it home once it’s reconstructed. To be clear: a military presence will be maintained for the Voltigeurs in the East Block.”
