The Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated the National Arts Centre and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) today on reaching a new collective agreement for some 70 employees responsible for security, parking and property management at the Ottawa performing arts centre. Their previous collective agreement expired on December 31, 2011.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program’s Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, which provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the Canada Labour Cod.
“I congratulate the National Arts Centre and PSAC for working together to reach an agreement, assuring continued services for patrons. I applaud their commitment to collaborative labour relations.”
