Chase, B.C. – The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, joined by Colin Mayes, MP for Okanagan-Shuswap, will be participating in the opening ceremony of the 2014 “Salute to the Sockeye” festival at Adams River. The festival runs from October 3 to 26, 2014, and is hosted by the Adams River Salmon Society.
Date: Sunday, October 5, 2014
Local Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park, east of Kamloops, B.C.
At the intersection of Squilax and the TransCanada Highway (Hwy #1), head north on the Squilax-Anglemont Road for approximately 5.4 km. Watch for roadside signage for the park and the festival.
