The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today a significant seizure of 14 kg of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport (TPIA).
On September 25, 2014, CBSA officers monitored the offload of baggage arriving on a flight from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and observed anomalies with one of the bags. Upon further inspection, they discovered 12 bricks concealed under clothing containing a substance that field tested positive for suspected cocaine.
The packages of suspected cocaine were turned over to the Peel Regional Police and the investigation is ongoing.
